Traditionally, if you wanted to add a metallic colour to your labels to make it stand out you would have had to use hot foiling techniques. While these can be very effective they come with large minimum runs, expensive plate and set up costs and long lead times.
It’s now possible to achieve metallic foil effects, instantly on individual labels using the HD830i foil printer from GoDEX.
The HD830i is a thermal printer which can be used to print text, barcodes and small logos in single colours, but when used with a foil ribbon you can also add metallic embellishments to pre-printed labels. HD Labels can supply a wide range of metallic foils including antique and rose gold, silvers, greens, reds and blues.
The HD830i is often used in conjunction with one of the inkjet printers in our range such as Afinia’s L-502, L-701 or L-801 or the Epson C6500. It can also be used on its own if you just want to print a single metallic shape or a name in gold for example.
At 300dpi some very fine text maybe hard to print so if you have any doubts do speak to one of our Account Managers who will be able to offer advice or arrange samples.
